Samaritan’s Purse – Our Processing Center Experience-

Hello!
About a week ago, on Monday the 11th, my family and my Mom’s parents went to help volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse!! I have mentioned them before.

We helped out at a Processing Center for the shoeboxes. It was an AMAZING experience!! We have wanted to do it for years, but kept waiting until I was old enough…then we never did it until my brother was old enough too, which was fun!! 🙂

Let’s look at some photos, and I will do my best to make you feel like you were there!!

*The photos are not of all great quality, I was using my old camera*

On our way there! >>>>>>

My brother and I are going through the boxes to see if there is anything that should not be in it, and adding more if there is not much in it.

My Mom and Nana, check the boxes for any money/checks. To help pay for the shipping.

I also did the first step, taking the shoe boxes out of the big boxes, and checking for any money/checks.

Our shift was from 3pm-7pm. It actually went by pretty fast.

Afterward, we went and got Chick-Fil-A, it had never tasted so good! 🙂

It was a big day, but SO worth it. I highly recommend doing it!!

Let’s Pack a Shoebox!!

Hello, Y’all!!

For as long as I can remember my family has packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. I love doing it. It is very fun, and it is such an amazing organization to support. Check them out here. Samaritan’s Purse, they do so much!!

Here are some YouTube videos about Operation Christmas Child:

My family, plus some other families that help with buying items and money (much appreciated!!) Packed our shoeboxes last week, we packed 27!! With my youth group all the kids pitched in (plus some leaders and donations from other people in the church) we packed over 40 boxes!! It was a super fun night!!

I took some photos, and I’d like to share some of them with you. 🙂 First there will be photos of our family packing the boxes, then I will show some photos of the youth group shoebox packing time!!

Have you packed shoeboxes before?

How do you like to serve others?

Are you interested in doing this next year?
