============
Blog. Of course, I hope to blog much more this summer. 👩🏽💻
ISH. Sadly I barely blogged this summer until mid-August, but I think a little break was needed.
Naturally Curly. I would like my hair to be just my natural curls more often, and less straightening and curling.
YES. I wore my hair with natural curls almost every day. I think I only straightened my hair twice this summer! So I am quite proud.
Sandals. I want to wear my sandals more and get a fun tan line. 🙂
YES. I wore my sandals a lot. I have feet problems, and these shoes actually don’t make my feet hurt as quickly! Though…I have gotten a few blisters from walking in them too much. 😛
Cold Treats. Eat lots of popsicles, ice cream, slushies, etc. 🍧🍦
YES. Didn’t get a ton, well I guess 1 slushie, 4 iced coffees, and a good amount of ice cream…so I guess I did complete this.
See more sunrises. I am a night owl and like to sleep in. But I have found out that I do enjoy sunrises and being up earlier. ☀
NO. This is a sunset…I saw a lot of beautiful sunsets! 😛 But never woke up early enough to see any sunrises, expect a few at the very beginning of the summer… oops.
Watermelon. Eat lots of yum, yum, yummy, watermelon. 🍉
YES. I could have eaten a lot more, but I got a good amount. (This photo looks weird, but the sun was soo bright) 😛
Laugh & smile. Laughter is so amazing, I hope to laugh a lot this summer. A simple friendly smile can change anyone’s day. 😀
Laughter is always 100% when hanging out with this goof.
LaCroix. Besides, water…this is the best refreshing beverage everr!
YES. La Croix makes life better!
Tan. Get a nice tan but no lobster sunburn this summer, please.
YES. I feel like I got pretty tan this summer, and no sunburn at all, yayy!
Watch my favorite show. I love Christopher Robin so much!! I have already watched it twice, and random parts of it many times. But I want to watch it all the way through again. ❤
YES. Ahh, this show never gets old. Such cuteness. 🥰
Driving. Get better at parking, city driving, night driving, and pass my driver’s license test!! 🚙
YES. Well, I have gotten better at driving…but not good enough at coming to complete stops at the stop signs to be a licensed driver. 🙄
YouTube. My bro and I might start a YouTube channel, we shall see.
NO. We haven’t started one yet…but might at some point in 2019. 😀
Cousin time. Hang out with this goof. We are always talking, laughing, and being funny. Want to hang out with you lottss! ❤
ISH. Only got to hang out 1 on 1 with her once, but got to see her a few other times. But want to hang out again soon! 💞
Youth Group & Bible study. Enjoy time, fellowship, and fun with the youth in my church, and grow closer to God.
YES. Got to hang out with this sweet girl and be goofy at our church garage sale!
Go barefoot. My cousin and I have started taking walks, barefooted, painful, and maybe slightly dangerous. But oh, so memorable, and fun. 😀
NO. Well a few times at the beginning of the summer, but then I was too focused on getting my sandal tan line to walk with barefooted, on walks. Though I did just walk around outside barefoot sometimes.
Babysitting & Job. I hope that I will be able to do more babysitting, and possibly try to get a job, or start babysitting more full time. 👶🏼🧒🏼👧🏼
YES. Ha, crazy times. But also so fun, and I love the cuddles!
Friends. Hang out with friends, I don’t have a ton of super close friends, but hopefully, I can change that this summer and strengthen the friendships I do have. 💞
ISH. Didn’t hang out with many friends besides Kyler and my cousins, but they are all dope so it chill. 😎
Kyler. Speaking of friends, Kyler who is one of my great friends was one of my best friends in my childhood. He lives overseas and is coming to the states for college, and he will be in CO for a few weeks. Can not wait to see him and make more memories like we did during our childhood summers. 🎊
YESS. Him, my siblings, and I got to hang out a lot as well as just him and I twice, so that was wonderful! Really miss him being in CO and getting to hang out.
Move. Our house is under contract, we have to be moved out by the end of July, now we just need to find a house to move into. This will be a busy part of the summer, but exciting. 😀 🏡
YES. We have been living in our house for over a month now already, and it has been great!!
Finish this book. Yes, I still need to finish this book so I can finish that blog series and finish my review. As well as learn from the wisdom of Kristen and Bethany. 🙂
NO. Oops! I feel bad about this, and I will really try to get it done before 2020.
Mini Golf. It’s something we do every summer, usually with the youth group and our cousins. I am not too good at it, but I always have fun!
Yes. Didn’t get to go with our cousin which was sad, but did with your youth group and that was a lot of fun!
Enjoy the outdoors. The winter months here in CO are so long, and the warm summer months are very short, so I would like to get outdoors and enjoy the warmer days more.
ISH. Not as much as I would have liked, but whenever I did it was fun.
Photography. Yes, I want to, and know I will take lots of photos this summer! 📷
YES. I took lots and lots of photos on both my camera and phone. I also got to take someone’s engagement photos! ❤
Hike. This has to do with photography and getting outdoors. I am not a very athletic/outdoorsy human, but I do enjoy taking nature photography a lot, so that is good motivation to go on hikes. 🗻
Only went on one hike sadly. 🙃
Heyo! This is the first of many posts I will be posting within the next few weeks talking about fun things I did this summer. The first week of June I had an epic sleepover with my amazing cousin Amelia. We laugh so much, it is wonderful. Let’s see what crazy things we did together.
We went on a walk and came across this interesting book drop thing. I see it as a dino, what do you think? 🦕
We walked to Walgreens.
We bought some less cancer-causing items, like sugar-filled coffee drinks and Reeses.
Okay, we sat in their kitchen just talking, laughing, and taking pictures for over an hour I believe. That was fun. 😀
Yes. We are strange. 🥳
Oooh, we are so cool! We stayed up very late that night taking more funny selfies and just chatting, mostly laughing really hard and trying to not be too loud. Then we woke up early to go to garage sales with her mom.
Gotcha. 👌🏼
Yes, she is much taller than me, and yes I don’t know what I am doing with my fingers.
After garage sale shopping in the hot weather, we got some delicious refreshing summer poison, aka slushies. 🍧
After lunch and slushies, we went on an adventurous barefooted walk, fun times.
After our walk, we came back and crashed in the cool basement and watched a show.
That concludes our sleepover, now for some other random pics from hanging out with this girlie throughout the summer. ❤
Yes, she is cute. Yes, that is a picture of my feet. Yes, we went on another walk barefooted.
True convos with my cuz. 😛 ❤
We took so many goofy selfies that day. Such funn!
Love you, pretty girl. 😇
Ooh yeah. ✌️🏼
==========
I didn’t get to hang out with this goofball as much as I would have liked this summer but hoping we still can even during the school year.
Never a dull moment when we are together. Great hugs, and great laughter. 🙃❤️
Luv ya Ameano! 💕
I am not sure if I have ever done a bucket list post before, but I am now. This is my bucket list for the rest of this summer, along with some photos I have taken the past few months, some you may have seen already, and others never before seen! 😀
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Isn’t it so pretty?! ❤
Ahh! Perfect! 😀

“Whether we struggle with a secret sin, occasional lust, sexual promiscuity, homosexual desires, pornography addiction, masturbation, or something else, one thing is clear: we, as women, are sexually broken.”
“He wants to forgive your past (see 1 John 1:9). He wants to redeem your future (see Isa. 61.3). He wants to renew your heart and mind ( see Rom. 12:2). He wants to free you from habitual sin (see Ps. 51:10). He wants to reclaim your understanding of sexuality (see 2 Tim. 2:21). He wants to transform your brokenness into beauty for His glory.”
“When we fantasize about a hot guy who is not our husband, we’re not honoring him and we’re not acting in holiness toward God. We’re lusting when we behave that way. Plain and simple. In the same way, when a guy looks at a woman and undresses her in his mind, he is not honoring her and he is not acting in holiness toward God.”
“We no longer know what’s right. We no longer know what’s good. Sex is no longer linked to marriage. Truth is no longer linked to God.”
“Unlike animals, which were created with sexual instincts, humans were created for sexual intimacy.”
“When we choose to embrace anything but God’s good and original design for our sexuality, we buy into an inaccurate reflection of who God created us to be.”
Lie #1: Sexual Identity Is Determined by Personal Desires
Lie #2: Marriage Is a Union Between Any Two Partners
Lie #3: Sex Should Be Embraced in Whatever Way Seems Right
Lie #4: Feminity Is About Being Seductive and Powerful
“We, as Christian women, need to be strong and diligent in chasing down truth.”
“Sex is an amazing life-giving gift from God.”
“Just as Adam and Eve needed a hero then, we too need a hero today. We need someone to forgive us of our sins and guilt.”
“Instead of acknowledging my need for a hero, I was trying to be the hero. And that’s why I wasn’t experiencing long-term change.”
“Jesus offers freedom. He offers forgiveness. He offers restoration. He offers new life.”
So I was super blessed to be able to be a part of the book launch team for Girl Defiend’s newest book – Sex, Purity, and the Longings of a Girls Heart.

Aye y’all!! So, Gracie was crazy generous enough to let me write a post on her blog. So, here I am.
Today I am here to rant about teen dating. It is more prominent in the culture and it has become an accepted and ignored part of culture. So why do teens feel the need to date? Is it beneficial? And what does the Bible say about it?
First! The want to date is something that comes naturally. We want people to care for and love. So, the desire isn’t bad. Just like I may punch someone in the face. My desire was to make someone else laugh, but how I expressed that desire was bad.
As children of God, we are made in his image. Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” (Genesis 1:26) So wanting to care for and love people is an honest desire.
Now that does not mean teen dating, simply because the good desires are there, is good. So first what is the purpose of dating? Well, the Bible doesn’t directly talk about dating since this is a newer concept. But that doesn’t mean Bible verses don’t apply to dating. I’ll get to that later. First I believe that we can all agree that dating is with the purpose or intent of marriage. Today’s culture has lost that goal and dating has become a mind game. So that’s established.
So in our teens can we date with the intent of marriage? There is no black or white answer. Meaning there are some grey areas. Such as you can’t say “never punch someone on the back.” Someone could be punching them on the back because they are choking (I am not a medical professional. If someone is choking, seek professional help or professional advice beforehand. I am in no way qualified to give medical advice.). So you can’t say yes or no.
Now even though it is a gray area it usually leans over to one side. And that side would be no. If you are in your teens and believe that you are ready to date for marriage, awesome! You have everything together. But for the 98% of us other teens, dating for marriage isn’t something we are ready for.
“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.” (1 Corinthians 13:11) I love this chapter in the Bible (go read the rest y’all). But even though this doesn’t directly apply, I believe it still can. If you have put away childish things and have become a man/woman and prayed to God about it then maybe you’re ready. But personally, God is humbling me every day and creating me in his image more every day. I am still growing up and putting away childish things daily.
Now that isn’t to say there aren’t exceptions. At my Youth Group, there were these two leaders named Lily and Austin. Cutest couple ever. Their relationship was/is strong and it was awesome. Now they got married right after getting out of high school. So that worked for them. But they are an exception.
Now, this is probably getting confusing for y’all. I am confused where I am going with this myself. But all of this to say, teen dating probably isn’t the most beneficial/wise thing ever. But “teen” dating is a more vague term. Teen means 13-19. Now I would say 13-16, probably not dating for marriage. 16-18, things are still confusing and you’re still figuring things out in life. You aren’t ready for a relationship until you know who you are. Now 18-19 is a more grey area. I believe that 18-19 can be an age at which you can be serious about the ultimate pursuit of dating.
But everyone matures at different paces. Now, let’s say you are 18-19, and you can date. Does that mean you should date?
1 Corinthians 6:12 says “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.”
So even if things are lawful, or even if we can do things, that doesn’t mean that we should. I may have every right to not let my sister use something of mine such as a skateboard but that doesn’t mean I should hold her from that.
Paul talks on marriage and singleness in 1 Corinthians 7:6-9
“Now as a concession, not a command, I say this. I wish that all were as I myself am. But each has his own gift from God, one of one kind and one of another. To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single, as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.” (1 Corinthians 7:6-9)
So it was absolutely weird to me for Paul to say that being single is good, but it is! He is saying that when you are married your priority is your significant other and bringing God glory. If you are single, your only priority is bringing God glory! So you will be more effective in some areas if you are single. But not all people can do this.
So in the end, we need to rejoice in our singleness! Our purpose is to Glorify God and enjoy him forever!
“Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty.” (Psalms 104:1) Let us focus on bringing Glory to our Glorious Creator and not such trivial subject!
“Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain,” (Psalms 48:1)

**this post is not sponsored. and all the photos are mine**
I got to their house at 8:45am, by a little after 9 we were already outside in the snow exploring the tree damage and such from the blizzard we had gotten earlier that week. ❄
Wow, that just completely snapped.
We walked all the way across this field of deep snow to fed the chickens…then I asked where the feed was and it was back in the garage…all the way over there!! So we had to go back, get the fed, and then go back. Oh well. 😛
Here we go with the chicken feed. 🐔
After we came inside we played some games, and I made them lunch.
After lunch, we watched some Magic Schoolbus before their naps.
After O woke up from his nap I made him some hot tea and we played Qurikle and Go Fish until B woke up from her nap. 🎲🃏
Little B conked out. Cutie. After she woke up and had a small snack we headed outside again.
O was blowing bubbles.
B was talking about airplanes I think. 😀
They had a lot of fun getting their boots stuck in the mud, having me pull them out, then cleaning off their boots in the snow. Haha!
We came inside and played some games…then they decided to put me in time out and build a fort around me. It was very cramped. Also, entertaining. 😛
After they let me out of jail and we cleaned up the living room they got to watch a little more TV until their mom came home.
I have an awesome giveaway to share with you teen girls!! Check out this great book that will be launched this April!!
Giveaway dates: Mar 17 – Apr 15, 2019
Countries available: U.S.
Have a great weekend and keep your eyes out for more news and posts about this book in the next few months! 🙂
How was your Valentine’s Day? Mine was pretty chill. I spent the day doing school, working on this post, making homemade pizza, and hanging out with my family.
The day before Valentine’s Day I made my nails look fancy! Last month I went to a Color Street Nail Party!! 🙂 Color Street nails are like stick on nails. Super neat! I will be showing you how I did mine below.
This is how the packaging looks.
First, it is very important to clean your nails with an alcohol wipe to remove any oils from your nail so the stickers will stick.
There are a few steps in between this…but once you find the right size and do the steps it tells you, it will look something like this. 😀
Since my nails are smaller I can use one sticker for two nails!
After sticking them on all your nails…
You will trim the stickers either with your fingernails on your other hand, or with a cuticle thingy, and/or fingernail trimmer.
I added a top coat…not sure if that is good or not, but it seems to work well for me. 🙂
It’s all done!! They are super easy, so much healthier for your nails! Plus…the first time I did these (this is only my second time) they stayed on for two weeks!!
A week ago I had a belated, but very lovely birthday party with some of my friends! It was so much fun!! I thought I would share some photos from that fun day! 🙂
After eating a yummy lunch and talking some, we went up to my room and did each other’s hair and makeup! We also listened to random music and talked about random things. 😛
After we got all pampered up, we went out into the cold and 6 inches of snow to take some pictures, besides it being cold, it was a lot of fun!!
A classic selfie with my wonderful friends!!
My pretty, cute, loving friends! ❤
Our album cover photo 😀
Ahh! I love this photo..so aesthetic feeling. 😍
After taking lots of fun, cute, snowy pictures we came inside and had some hot tea and brownies and chatted.
It was a wonderful couple of hours. My friends made me feel very special and loved. *hugs* They all blessed me with gifts, and very sweet cards!! If any of you girls read this, I just want to say thank you again for the wonderful day you gave me. LOVE YOU ALL! ❤
My mom got me this neat nail kit…so let’s see how this works!
The kit actually only included the two middle items…I had to buy the two that say ‘Gel’.
First, you apply two coats of the step one miracle gel…
Then after those two coats are almost dry you gently apply this fun powdered stuff…
It adds a fun shimmer to your nails, sorry the photo isn’t great…
then you add this special top coat over the shimmer…
Then you add the final top coat…
All done! They look different in different lights, and are shimmery and fun! I did these kinda quick..but they turned out pretty neat! I will do them again for sure! 😀
This was a very unique gift…5 Canadian dollars 🎊
Two Sadie Robertson notebooks, can’t wait to use those!!
Got this awesome Sadie Robertson inspirational calendar! 😀
This adorable owl keychain that has Proverbs 24:14 on the back. Can not wait to have my own keys on it!! 😎
My awesome iPhone SE!! 📱
A new wireless mouse, an adorable CC bennie, and an iTunes gift card!!
This cute dainty necklace from my parents. ❤
I had asked for a purity ring, but my mom could not find one small enough for me…but she did give me this lovely hand-welded turquoise ring that was given to her by my great grandpa. ❤
Lastly, I got a lovely new Bible from my grandparents!! 📘
As you may remember my birthday was a few weeks ago…and….for my birthday I—- GOT A PHONE!!! I am so happy, thank you so much, Mom and Dad!!!! 🙂 ❤
—————————————————-
Here I was opening it!! I was kinda shocked. 😛
Ahhh! The box! 😀
After I got my phone, I was very nervous I was going to drop it and break it, so I ordered a case asap! 🙂 This is it.
I wanted to keep with the lovely rose gold color! ❤
I have loved the case so far!! I also got a screen protector, and I have been loving it as well. 🙂
Welcome back to part two! If you haven’t read part one, please do so now. 🙂
How to Be “Just Friends” with Guys:

“Don’t make the relationship deeply emotional and feelings oriented. Try to not share deeply from the heart in ways that would draw you two together in an unhealthy and emotional way. Save the deep emotional stuff for your girlfriends.”
“Evaluate your heart, motives, and actions, and make sure your goal is to honor Christ.”
Is It Okay to Date a Non-Christian?:

“Place God first in your life”
Qualities to Look For in a Future Husband:

“Getting to know your guy’s heart is key.”
“Ask God for strength to embrace holiness and purity in your relationship. Pray. Pray. And then pray again.”
Romance without Regrets:
3 Key things to pursue during the relationship process:
“God’s plan for purity and holiness is a blessing because it keeps us on the right path.”
“A God-honoring relationship must be built on self-sacrificing love, not self-gratifying lust.”
3 Strategies for pursuing purity:
“…Pray diligently. Pray long and hard every day. Pray for your relationship. Pray for yourself. Pray for your guy. Pray for strength, wisdom, and conviction.”
“We serve a real and living God. He is the source of our strength and power.”
Ten Red Flags to Look For in a Relationship:
“Think of the type of man you hope to spend the rest of your life with.”
“Use wisdom and seek outside counsel from a wiser, older Christian.”
How Do I Know if He’s “the One”?:
“Rather than trying to find our perfect soul mate, we need to make wise decisions guided by the principles from God’s Word.”
Instead of asking, “Is he the one?” Ask yourself, “Is he the one I want to commit the rest of my life to?”
“The more we focus on Christ, the more our marriage thrives.”
What Married Women Want You to Know:

“You job is to trust God and serve Him faithfully.”
That concludes my 2 part summary of Love Defined. I hope you enjoyed these two posts. 🙂 This book was a really good read. So many good tips and thoughts. In the back of the book, they have some lists of questions to ask both yourself and your boyfriend. 👍🏼
If you are a teenage girl I highly recommend this book, as well as Kristen and Bethany’s other books, YouTube, and blog.

What are the chapters in Love Defined?
Let’s break down this book chapter by chapter! ❤
Love, You Are Oh So Complicated:
Not much to say. It is only a few pages long, more of an intro. 🙂
Seeing through the Fairy Tale Facade:
“The Fairy Tale Facade is like a beautiful false front…The exterior looks great, but behind the false front is nothing more than a wreck”
“The Fairy Tale Facade promotes the idea that we can completely ignore God’s design for love, sex, and romance, and still have lasting, satisfying results”
The Merry-Go-Round Method for Modern Relationships:
“The primary goal of the Merry-Go-Roud Method is rooted in and fueled by a desire to please self”
This chapter talked about how we as girls join the Merry-Go-Round Method. It is all only to bring attention to yourself, and it’s not real love. When Mr. A disappoints us, we cry then move on to Mr. B…and it just keeps going, like a Merry-Go-Round.
From Little-Girl Crushes to Big-Girl Relationships:
“God wants to teach you powerful truths from His Word”
This chapter talked about Kristen’s and Bethany’s crushes. And what they learned from those relationships.
Getting To The Heart of Love, Marriage, and Sex:
“God’s perfect Word contains more wisdom than every chick flick and romance novel combined”
“Marriage. A magnificent institution created by God Himself”
“God intentionally created the act of sex to be powerful and bounding in marriage”
“Embracing God’s plan for marriage, and sex will radically change your life”
This chapter talked about a lot of really good stuff, but definitely for an older teenage girl. 😉
Taking Femininity Into Your Own Love Life:
Four ways to bring femininity into your love life:
“Let us use femininity to promote purity in the lives of the men around us”
“Don’t initiate and pursue out of fear of losing the guy”
God’s Timeless Method for Lasting Relationships:
“Glorifying God should be the goal for every stage of the relationship process”
Use God’s Timeless Method Vs. the Merry-Go-Round Method.
The goal of God’s Timeless Method = Glorifying God.
Step 1: Cultivate the right heart
Step 2: Choose to seek wisdom
Step 3: Concentrate on God’s truth
Step 4: Count on Christ to satisfy you
Step 5: Continue to trust God if it ends
“Instead of being on the hunt for Mr.Right, we need to be in the Word, becoming Miss Right”
“We must center our feelings on God’s truth, to see clearly”
When Your Heart’s Desire Is Unfulfilled:
“If our trust in Christ is secure, our worries and concerns about getting married will quickly fade into the background.”
” True joy can only be found in the Lord”
