Photography Gigs

Hello, again! Today I have a very exciting update!!

In the past few months, I have had the wonderful opportunity to take a couple’s engagement photos, my friend’s senior photos and pictures of two siblings!! It has been so fun and I am so blessed to have been asked to do them! ❤

I am working on starting my own little photography business!! I have a website, and will hopefully be getting an Instagram, email, and maybe Facebook!

Until I officially launch those here is a snippet of the pictures I have taken, more will be on the website and socials.

saying goodbyes

Hello friends. This is going to be a different type of post. I am going to be talking about how I had to say goodbye to my youth pastor and his family as well as my best friend, all within just a few days.

First some context. So on July 31st I brought my friend Kyler to youth group, and my youth pastor said we were going to be talking about missions, I was excited to hear what he had to say about missions. Then fast forward about 10 minutes, we found out that he and his family were being called by God to move to Montana, in about two weeks.

It was so sudden and unexpected. While I was so sad and in shock, I was also very happy for them and the new adventure for their family! As well as seeing them listen to God, even though it was a hard change for their whole family, as well as the church.

He was basically the only youth pastor I ever had. I really love his humor, good teaching, and so much more! I could truly be myself with him, and I have a hard time being myself with a lot of people.  He could always make me laugh, and our banter back and forth was the best, I could honestly go on and on about things I miss about him and his wife. Such amazing Godly people! ❤

6eae51d0a7e7ea79a2281fc0cc8b4299

Because he had such a great impact on my life, I know for certain he is going to change many kids’ lives in the small Montana town where they are now living. He and his wife are now both teachers at the middle school, as well as the youth pastor/leader of a church there. I know God is going to use them in so many ways, but I miss them so much here in Colorado.  ❤

So on August 11th, I had to say goodbye to them. It was really hard. I cried a lot. And honestly, it still makes me really sad. I know I shouldn’t let it, because they are not dead, haha! They are obeying God and I really respect that a lot. I just miss them. The laughter they brought. Their loving hearts. Just everything about him, his wife, and their 4 kids, I miss a lot.

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Eckert, for being such wonderful role models! I miss you a lot and cant wait to see you again! I am so very grateful that God brought you into my life. You both meant more to me than I ever even realized. You still mean a lot to me and are still leaving an impact on my life. Showing me that listening to God is always worth it even if it means a big change. Love you guys!!! ❤

8ede6ba56e8b1f2b9879240279cad543

Then on August 14th, I had to say goodbye to Kyler. He has truly become one of my best friends, and even though he was only in town for about 2 weeks, and now he is only in Indiana, I miss him. We still text every single day and call/skype weekly. Thank God for technology! 🙂  But I miss hanging out with him in person.

I miss him being in Colorado because he is someone who actually wants to hang out with me (and my siblings). I dont get to do that with friends very often, so him taking the time to do so meant a lot to me. Let’s just say he makes me feel very special and I can not wait till he comes back next summer! To go on more adventures, laugh, talk, make memories with him.

Thanks, Kyler for always being there for me, despite the distance!!

Winnie the Pooh sums up saying goodbye really well. 🙂

What did you think of this type of post? What was the hardest goodbye you had to say to someone? ❤

What did I check off my bucket list this summer?

Happy September everyone. Well, school has started up so summer is over. Time for an overview of what I accomplished on my bucket list for this summer!

============

Blog. Of course, I hope to blog much more this summer. 👩🏽‍💻

ISH. Sadly I barely blogged this summer until mid-August, but I think a little break was needed.

Naturally Curly. I would like my hair to be just my natural curls more often, and less straightening and curling.

img_3259

YES. I wore my hair with natural curls almost every day. I think I only straightened my hair twice this summer! So I am quite proud.

Sandals. I want to wear my sandals more and get a fun tan line. 🙂

img_3225

YES. I wore my sandals a lot. I have feet problems, and these shoes actually don’t make my feet hurt as quickly! Though…I have gotten a few blisters from walking in them too much. 😛

Cold Treats. Eat lots of popsicles, ice cream, slushies, etc. 🍧🍦

YES. Didn’t get a ton, well I guess 1 slushie, 4 iced coffees, and a good amount of ice cream…so I guess I did complete this.

See more sunrises. I am a night owl and like to sleep in. But I have found out that I do enjoy sunrises and being up earlier.

NO. This is a sunset…I saw a lot of beautiful sunsets! 😛 But never woke up early enough to see any sunrises, expect a few at the very beginning of the summer… oops.

Watermelon. Eat lots of yum, yum, yummy, watermelon. 🍉

40fc1a36-2ad0-4a17-b68c-edf18ab1b236

YES. I could have eaten a lot more, but I got a good amount. (This photo looks weird, but the sun was soo bright) 😛

Laugh & smile. Laughter is so amazing, I hope to laugh a lot this summer. A simple friendly smile can change anyone’s day. 😀

Laughter is always 100% when hanging out with this goof.

LaCroixBesides, water…this is the best refreshing beverage everr!

YES. La Croix makes life better!

Tan. Get a nice tan but no lobster sunburn this summer, please.

tan1

YES. I feel like I got pretty tan this summer, and no sunburn at all, yayy!

Watch my favorite showI love Christopher Robin so much!! I have already watched it twice, and random parts of it many times. But I want to watch it all the way through again. ❤

YES. Ahh, this show never gets old. Such cuteness. 🥰

Driving. Get better at parking, city driving, night driving, and pass my driver’s license test!! 🚙

YES. Well, I have gotten better at driving…but not good enough at coming to complete stops at the stop signs to be a licensed driver. 🙄

YouTube. My bro and I might start a YouTube channel, we shall see.

NO. We haven’t started one yet…but might at some point in 2019. 😀

Cousin time. Hang out with this goof. We are always talking, laughing, and being funny. Want to hang out with you lottss! ❤

img_1859

ISH. Only got to hang out 1 on 1 with her once, but got to see her a few other times. But want to hang out again soon! 💞

Youth Group & Bible study. Enjoy time, fellowship, and fun with the youth in my church, and grow closer to God.

YES. Got to hang out with this sweet girl and be goofy at our church garage sale!

Go barefoot. My cousin and I have started taking walks, barefooted, painful, and maybe slightly dangerous. But oh, so memorable, and fun. 😀

img_3677

NO. Well a few times at the beginning of the summer, but then I was too focused on getting my sandal tan line to walk with barefooted, on walks. Though I did just walk around outside barefoot sometimes.

Babysitting & Job. I hope that I will be able to do more babysitting, and possibly try to get a job, or start babysitting more full time. 👶🏼🧒🏼👧🏼

YES. Ha, crazy times. But also so fun, and I love the cuddles!

Friends. Hang out with friends, I don’t have a ton of super close friends, but hopefully, I can change that this summer and strengthen the friendships I do have. 💞

ISH. Didn’t hang out with many friends besides Kyler and my cousins, but they are all dope so it chill. 😎

Kyler. Speaking of friends, Kyler who is one of my great friends was one of my best friends in my childhood. He lives overseas and is coming to the states for college, and he will be in CO for a few weeks. Can not wait to see him and make more memories like we did during our childhood summers. 🎊

YESS. Him, my siblings, and I got to hang out a lot as well as just him and I twice, so that was wonderful! Really miss him being in CO and getting to hang out.

Move. Our house is under contract, we have to be moved out by the end of July, now we just need to find a house to move into. This will be a busy part of the summer, but exciting. 😀 🏡

YES. We have been living in our house for over a month now already, and it has been great!!

Finish this book. Yes, I still need to finish this book so I can finish that blog series and finish my review. As well as learn from the wisdom of Kristen and Bethany. 🙂

4273590906985369024_img_0905-1

NO. Oops! I feel bad about this, and I will really try to get it done before 2020.

Mini Golf. It’s something we do every summer, usually with the youth group and our cousins. I am not too good at it, but I always have fun!

Yes. Didn’t get to go with our cousin which was sad, but did with your youth group and that was a lot of fun!

Enjoy the outdoors. The winter months here in CO are so long, and the warm summer months are very short, so I would like to get outdoors and enjoy the warmer days more.

ISH. Not as much as I would have liked, but whenever I did it was fun.

Photography. Yes, I want to, and know I will take lots of photos this summer! 📷

YES. I took lots and lots of photos on both my camera and phone. I also got to take someone’s engagement photos! ❤

Hike. This has to do with photography and getting outdoors. I am not a very athletic/outdoorsy human, but I do enjoy taking nature photography a lot, so that is good motivation to go on hikes. 🗻

Only went on one hike sadly. 🙃

Pretty glad about what I accomplished this summer on my bucket list. What did you do this summer?

A Pretty Epic Wednesday

August 14th. It was a really good day. Hard in some ways, but a day to remember for sure. It got to spend many hours with one of my best friends, Kyler!! He was leaving the next day for college in Indiana, so we wanted to spend some time together.

We met at the movies. Yes, we went to see Dora as teenagers. But we thought it would be fun nonetheless.

img_2204

YES, I loved this. 🦊

a350ea1d-594e-47b6-a6c4-f180ccf663c2

Young Dora and Diego. I forgot to take a picture of the movie when they grew up, but just look it up. 😛

img_2206

There was a scene where they turned into their animated characters, that was really fun/funny!! Overall it was actually really good! Some cheesy moments, but it was good. I would probably watch it again. They did Dora good. 🙂

7b68bf58-f783-47f6-b932-ade3cfbbe53e

After the movie, we into Dicks Sporting Goods and Kyler just had to buy this bouncy ball, haha! But it ended up being very popular later at youth group, so that was worth the $3. 😀

Kyler and I walked around after Dicks just talking and also sat on a bench and talked. That was nice.

Then we walked over to Five Guys for dinner. Kyler loves that place, and I had never been so we were like why not?!

I got a pretty simple burger, but it was really good! 🍔

After we ate we went over to Best Buy to look around, we both like electronics so that was fun. Look at that huge TV!

After that, my parents picked us up and we headed to youth group. We had a campfire outdoor night. Here we were doing worship.

It was a little fire, but still did fire, which is what you need for smores.

The moon was really pretty. 🌕

Some of the boys started playing frisbee, which made Kyler happy because he loves frisbee. He kept impressing people with his skills. 😎

Some of the boys got the wonderful idea to have a contest with throwing a marshmallow up high then catching it in your mouth. Kyler did that too and succeeded. 😛

Then we all sat around the fire and talked about our summers, changes in the youth group, and the school year starting. It was nice.

After youth group we took Kyler to his grandparents and said our goodbyes, that was very sad. I hate saying bye. But it was a great day and I am so glad we got to spend it together! 🙂

A Fun Summer Evening

One evening this August we went over to Kyler’s grandparents for dinner and to just hangout. I took some pictures, so here you go. 🙂

Look at this beautiful rose! 🌹

Kyler taught us this cool game called Carrom. It was really fun…i am not too good at it though.

Any guesses on what this is?!

After dinner, Kyler, Silas, and I went on a like walk to a place Kyler had discovered the day before.

Nice view of Pikes Peak. 🏔️

Ahh cotton candy clouds

Climb boys, climb…I will be there in a bit.

Please dont die. Thanks.

I love rocks like these, so neat!!

r e d   b e r r i e s

Can you spot the two birds? 🦉🐦

Funny story. We were walking along and Kyler said “Oh neat is that a hawk?” and I looked up and only saw the owl and I got all excited because I love owls, then I saw the hawk too and  said “that is an owl and a hawk!” and for the longest time Kyler could not see the owl. Then I texted my mom this picture and she said “morning dove?” she only saw the hawk and thought it was a morning dove. 😛

Okay, this is really blurry sadly. But there is a story to this as well. 🙂

This was in our old neighboorhood (before we moved into the country) and we used to walk on this street and I was remembering that there was this bench we used to stop at. Silas and I were arguing about where on the street it was…then I saw it, and I pretty sure I may have screamed out of excitement. 😛 No clue how I managed to get such a blurry picture or turn this into a whole paragraph, but oh well.

Have you ever played Carrom?

Mini Golf with Youth Group

Silas and I went mini-golfing with our youth group on August 2nd. It was a lot of fun, I am not great at it but it is still a fun way to spend an evening in the summer with friends.

Let’s go, Josh, dont let Jeremey distract you!

Two of us got blue balls and two of us got pink, that was confusing. oops. 😛

Oooh yay, good job bro. 😎

Yes, all 3 of those balls got stuck in that lovely place.

{password- golf}

Great interview Josh!! Sadly I only thought to record halfway through, it was funnier at the beginning…but hopefully, you still enjoyed.

Have you ever gone mini-golfing? ⛳

Moving Adventures

Starting July 26th we started moving out of our old house. We couldn’t move into our new house till August 10th, so we had to move in with my mom’s parents till then and our move extra stuff, like furniture and such, into a storage unit and my dad’s parent’s basement. 😛

The evening of the 26th some of our family came over to help load up our UHaul with boxes of stuff to take to our storage unit.

We got a huge UHaul…kinda too big. 😀

Cousins! ❤

Cousin moving crew, we rocked it y’all!

(The next morning) Yes, gotta clean even the ceiling.

Wow. Lots of different emotions here. Riding with my cousins to the storage unit. Exciting times.

I was slightly distracted at the storage unit and forgot to take any pictures, but here we are trying to move our couch into my grandparent’s basement.

After that, we all went back to my mom’s parents to have pizza and relax. That was nice.

Now fast forward to August 7th. Our grandparents brought Chick-fil-A to our new house for dinner, since we had as we started painting closets and cleaning.

Now it is August 10th. We are driving in the UHaul to the storage unit to officially start moving into our new house!

Let’s go, Uncle Marco! 😎

This time around we got a smaller U Haul.

Woo ride time!!

My great friend Kyler came to help us move, and we rode with my grandparents from the storage unit. Yes, taking selfies in a moving car doesn’t work too well. 😛

After we had unloaded the UHaul and cars we went out to the park and played groundies, while waiting for the pizza, that was a lot of fun!

Good work, men getting that over the fence. 🎊

After lunch, us kids played spoons! 🥄

After most of the people had left some of us kids decided to walk to the nearby gas station to get some cold drink, that was a fun adventure. 🙂

Moving is a lot of work, but I am loving our new house and loved hanging out with family and friends during the moving process. 🏠📦🚚❤️

Fun times with my cousin!

Heyo! This is the first of many posts I will be posting within the next few weeks talking about fun things I did this summer. The first week of June I had an epic sleepover with my amazing cousin Amelia. We laugh so much, it is wonderful. Let’s see what crazy things we did together.

We went on a walk and came across this interesting book drop thing. I see it as a dino, what do you think? 🦕

We walked to Walgreens.

We bought some less cancer-causing items, like sugar-filled coffee drinks and Reeses.

Okay, we sat in their kitchen just talking, laughing, and taking pictures for over an hour I believe. That was fun. 😀

Yes. We are strange. 🥳

Oooh, we are so cool! We stayed up very late that night taking more funny selfies and just chatting, mostly laughing really hard and trying to not be too loud. Then we woke up early to go to garage sales with her mom.

Gotcha. 👌🏼

Yes, she is much taller than me, and yes I don’t know what I am doing with my fingers.

After garage sale shopping in the hot weather,  we got some delicious refreshing summer poison, aka slushies. 🍧

After lunch and slushies, we went on an adventurous barefooted walk, fun times.

After our walk, we came back and crashed in the cool basement and watched a show.

That concludes our sleepover, now for some other random pics from hanging out with this girlie throughout the summer. ❤

Yes, she is cute. Yes, that is a picture of my feet. Yes, we went on another walk barefooted.

True convos with my cuz. 😛 ❤

We took so many goofy selfies that day. Such funn!

img_9699

Love you, pretty girl. 😇

Ooh yeah. ✌️🏼

==========

I didn’t get to hang out with this goofball as much as I would have liked this summer but hoping we still can even during the school year.

Never a dull moment when we are together. Great hugs, and great laughter. 🙃❤️

Luv ya Ameano! 💕

Howdy!

During the first week of July I kitty cat sat for some friends for 6 days!!

Look at those eyes. 😻

My mom loved snuggling the kitties.

img_9853-2

Aw, hi there kitty!

The kittens kept trying to attack my mom’s skirt.

“Hey just chilling on this cool wall.”

The black kitty liked to lay on my feet. 💞

Awe. 🙂

It is so crazy how these tiny cats can jump up and claw onto trees like that!

My mom snuggling the kitty again. ❤

Saying goodbye and giving them their treats on the last day. Kind of miss these fluff balls. 🐈😿😻

Do you like kittens? Ever done cat sitting? 🐈

Summer 2019 Bucket List

Hello

Happy Summer! (Officially) ☀🎊

Church High School Retreat {2019}

Retreat

Hello friends!

Two weeks ago my church had a retreat in the mountains, for us high schoolers. I had a lot of fun taking pictures over those 3 days. 🙂

This was the whole gang. Lots of wonderful people. 🙂

It was a cool building, see that neat cross made of stone?

This was the room where we all met for Bible lesson time and worship every few hours.

A quick picture I took of my room I shared with another girl.

They had complimentary tea and hot cocoa. {Photo by Josh}

People playing the game Dutch Blitz.

The first night after dinner, worship, and a lesson, some of them played some sort of card game involving M&Ms as a prize. 😛 I just hung out and took pictures. (INFJ for ya)

Everyone was having fun goofing off…complaining about being tired. But I had just gotten back from a hike that was as long as the amount of sleep I had gotten the night before. 😛 (Keep reading to hear about the hike)

My friend Josh had some fun using my camera taking photos for a few minutes. That was a fun time. 😛

I had fun taking pictures of them playing from up above them. Such a fun view!

Some of my amazing friends and I are enjoying the wonderful mountain air! ❤

On Saturday night we played Bible Jeporday. That was a lot of fun!! Lots of laughter and brainpower were used. 😛

This is the legendary – Josh. He epically failed at jumbo Janga. 😀

Made two lovely new friends and got to get to know some of the other girls better. All the laughter. 😛 ❤

❤ f r i e n d s h i p ❤

On Saturday afternoon some of us went on a 3 hour (ish) hike! I was a little nervous because I had only gotten 3 hours of sleep the night before. But I am so glad I went!!

We got to explore two old train tunnels!! It was super epic!! 🚂

I see the light at the end of the tunnel. 😛

This was the entrance to the tunnel above. There was a big snowdrift that we had to climb over. Such fun. 😎

Some pretty nice views of the city.

Love these people!

Mommy and her son. Love this photo. 🙂

r a n d o m     p i n e c o n e

This was the second tunnel. This one collapsed at some point so we couldn’t walk all the way through but it was still really neat!

This one was a little more sketchy to go into. More ice and loose rocks and it was dark.

Nice find!! Right after I took this picture it slipped out of his hand and broke. 😦

After almost dying and some neat finds, we climbed back out. The few of us who actually went in. 😛

The hiking crew, plus the lady behind the camera. 🙂 …and the boy kind of hiding…can you find him?

I like the shadows in this photo. This is my current lock screen photo. ❤

It was fun!! The snow was so deep…

I was up to my knees in the snow. Haha, so fun! ❄

Found some super neat purple rocks!! Possible signs of past volcanic action. 😮

Such pretty rocks! ❤

Found a pair of scissors in the dirt road. He pulled them out before I could get a picture, but this is kind of a cool picture anyway. 😛

On our way back we heard voices then through the trees (using camera zoom) I could see some of the girls hanging out in hammocks. haha!

Sunday morning we had a gaga ball tourament…that was exciting.

After gaga ball, and after we were all packed and helped clean up the building, our youth pastor announced what team won with overall points earned from the different events we did, as well as with kindness. We played other games throughout the weekend too but sadly I didn’t get to take pictures all the time.

Our team got third place!! 🥉 Did not expect that. 😛 Oh man…I loveee Reese’s pieces soo much!! ❤

Second place!! 🥈

First place!! 🎉🥇

All the amazing leaders who made this weekend possible!! 🙂 ❤

A pretty little river running through the camp.

Everyone went running once the van got there. 😛

It was a good weekend. My favorite part for sure was the hike!! So much adventure and photography opportunities! Also, it was a smaller amount of us so I was more comfortable.

The Bible lessons, worship time, quiet time, and hearing about things going on in my friend’s lives were also so encouraging and wonderful!! Can’t wait for next year’s retreat!!  ❤

Friends, Snow, and Fun Times!!

friends, snow, and fun times!!

Hello

A week ago I had a belated, but very lovely birthday party with some of my friends! It was so much fun!! I thought I would share some photos from that fun day! 🙂

After eating a yummy lunch and talking some, we went up to my room and did each other’s hair and makeup! We also listened to random music and talked about random things. 😛

After we got all pampered up, we went out into the cold and 6 inches of snow to take some pictures, besides it being cold, it was a lot of fun!!

A classic selfie with my wonderful friends!!

My pretty, cute, loving friends! ❤

Our album cover photo 😀

Ahh! I love this photo..so aesthetic feeling. 😍

After taking lots of fun, cute, snowy pictures we came inside and had some hot tea and brownies and chatted.

It was a wonderful couple of hours. My friends made me feel very special and loved. *hugs* They all blessed me with gifts, and very sweet cards!! If any of you girls read this, I just want to say thank you again for the wonderful day you gave me. LOVE YOU ALL! ❤

Blog Tour- Interviewing Jo!

18206d3e1219ee02161d1126c386106c

Hey everyone! I am doing my first blog tour post, so bear with me. 😛

If you have not yet heard Izoria’s Choice, please do!! It was amazing, I loved it!! 😀

Welcoming…

7729c57d9360f2a2bed38647a59cae2b

1cd3c68b2114f4d301b6d4b9e41d3a22

Now that you know what this is all about, I will now be interviewing Jo!!

Gracie- What inspired Auidosmith’s Radio Theatre?

Jo- Well, it began the way most things don’t- a school assignment for Literature. We- or rather, I- was told to write out a dramatic scene that revealed a lot about the character. And we had to publish it, which apparently showing to your siblings didn’t count. So I had the bright idea of making it into an audio play, and I contacted a few friends in my Wordsmith cabin. One thing led to another, we schemed, laughed, and cried, and produced Izoria’s Choice. (Well, isn’t this getting a bit long? )Anyway, while I was finishing up Izoria’s Choice, little did I know everyone was frantically texting each other about this new idea: What if we produced audio dramas based on our own short stories/books? Rebekah thought of it, and it quickly caught on.

Gracie- What are your goals for Audiosmiths Radio Theatre?

Jo- Oh, there’s a lot of them. But I think our main ones are to have fun, perfect our writing/acting/directing/ing things XD, and to inspire people to get out there and dream.

Gracie- when will the first recording be released?

Jo- our very firstest Everest recording…est XD will be released on Christmas Eve, just in time for all of you lovelies to listen! The idea was maybe sharing it with our families, so we’re going for a day everyone will have someone

ab0db1e60b00cc633a9d811240833721

Gracie- What is your role in the production of Audiosmith Radio Theatre?

Jo- I have a bunch of roles, it’s pretty neat! Primarily, I splice the recording, add sound effects, bring it all together, and I wish it was as easy as saying it. I also bug people to send in their parts, and voice act.

Gracie- Anything else you’d like my readers to know?

Jo- Hmm….Bacon crumbles are delicious.

Thank you so much, Jo, for asking me to do this post, and allowing me to interview you!! Can’t wait to hear the first Audiosmith Radio Theater episode!! 🙂 🎉

The Great Pumpkin Chase (2018)

The Great Pumpkin Chase (2018)

Hello everyone! About a month ago my youth group had our annual Great Pumpkin Chase!! You can look back at last year’s here. 🙂

This year was a little different. In the past few years, I have been invited to a team. But this year, 2 people did, but then it didn’t work out… 😛 So…my brother and I started a team.

We had a small team, but it was a lot of fun! It was just me, Silas, our cousin, and one of my friends and my dad was our driver. 😀

We did not do super good, not sure what placing we got…but it was still a great night. 🏆

DSCN8982-stamped

The final destination was the church, so that was funny. 😛 Once all the teams got there we had some time to hang out and eat.

DSCN8983-stamped

Our snazzy team. 😎

DSCN8990-stamped

As a chance to win extra points, each team had about 15 minutes to think and plan a 1min lip sync…that was very fun to watch…we did a horrible job…some people thought we were funny though 😀 😀

DSCN8992-stamped

“It’s a Whole New World”– Lip Sync.

DSCN9003-stamped

“Let it Go”- Lip Sync

DSCN9009-stamped

“I can make a man out of you”– Lip Sync

DSCN9014-stamped

“12 Days of Christmas”– Lip Sync

DSCN9018-stamped

“I Love My Mom”– Lip Sync. This one was my favorite!! It was so random, funny, and well done. 😀 👏🏼

DSCN9021-stamped

Then after all the lip syncs. We had a mini-lesson, about the gospel. Which was very good. 👍🏼

DSCN9022-stamped

Next, we sang some lovely worship songs. ❤

DSCN9028-stamped

Then they announced the first, second, and third place winners! 🏅🥈🥉

DSCN9037-stamped

The winning team signing…The Great Pumpkin!! Congrats! 😀

Even though we did not place, and we did badly at the lip sync…I still had a lot of fun, and cannot wait until next year! 🎉:D

Welcome back to part two! If you haven’t read part one, please do so now. 🙂

LoveDefined

How to Be “Just Friends” with Guys:

“Don’t make your guy friendships all about the two of you. Do your best to keep your friendship focused on group settings. Work hard to incorporate others into the relationship'”

“Don’t make the relationship deeply emotional and feelings oriented. Try to not share deeply from the heart in ways that would draw you two together in an unhealthy and emotional way. Save the deep emotional stuff for your girlfriends.”

“Evaluate your heart, motives, and actions, and make sure your goal is to honor Christ.”

Is It Okay to Date a Non-Christian?:

“Since dating should lead to marriage, it wouldn’t be wise to date a guy who isn’t a Christian”

“Obey God’s Word”

“Trust that His ways are better”

“Place God first in your life”

Qualities to Look For in a Future Husband:

“A husband’s job is to wash his wife in the water of the Word”

“He needs to have a solid relationship with Him”

What To Do When He Comes Calling:

  • Is this guy a genuine Christian?
  • Are we both mature enough to enter into a serious relationship?
  • Could I see myself potentially marrying him?

“…Build an intentional friendship before you jump into romance.”

“Getting to know your guy’s heart is key.”

“Ask God for strength to embrace holiness and purity in your relationship. Pray. Pray. And then pray again.”

Romance without Regrets:

3 Key things to pursue during the relationship process:

  1. Worship
  2. Purity
  3. Holiness

“God’s plan for purity and holiness is a blessing because it keeps us on the right path.”

“A God-honoring relationship must be built on self-sacrificing love, not self-gratifying lust.”

3 Strategies for pursuing purity:

  1. Memorize Scripture
  2. Establish boundaries
  3. Seek accountability

“…Pray diligently. Pray long and hard every day. Pray for your relationship. Pray for yourself. Pray for your guy. Pray for strength, wisdom, and conviction.”

“We serve a real and living God. He is the source of our strength and power.”

Ten Red Flags to Look For in a Relationship:

  1. He has a shallow relationship with God
  2. He pulls you down spiritually
  3. He’s stuck in habitual sin
  4. He pressures you to compromise sexually
  5. He’s rushing the relationship
  6. Wise people in your life don’t support the relationship
  7. He has very few spiritual convictions
  8. He doesn’t keep his word
  9. He wants to keep the relationship a secret
  10. He’s obsessed with himself

“Think of the type of man you hope to spend the rest of your life with.”

“Use wisdom and seek outside counsel from a wiser, older Christian.”

How Do I Know if He’s “the One”?:

“Rather than trying to find our perfect soul mate, we need to make wise decisions guided by the principles from God’s Word.”

Instead of asking, “Is he the one?” Ask yourself, “Is he the one I want to commit the rest of my life to?”

“The more we focus on Christ, the more our marriage thrives.”

What Married Women Want You to Know:

“When you, as a single woman, learn to take all your cares, fears, and concerns to the Lord Jesus Christ on a daily basis your heart will be strengthened.”

“Appreciation from a wife has the potential to inspire her man to become the leader God created him to be.”

“Homemaking is the art of making a house a home.”

“Choose to tap into the endless wisdom and counsel available to you from the godly women in your life.”

A Love Story Worth Fighting For:

“The more we’ve focused on God’s truth, the easier it has become to stand strong.”

“You job is to trust God and serve Him faithfully.”

That concludes my 2 part summary of Love Defined. I hope you enjoyed these two posts. 🙂 This book was a really good read. So many good tips and thoughts. In the back of the book, they have some lists of questions to ask both yourself and your boyfriend. 👍🏼

If you are a teenage girl I highly recommend this book, as well as Kristen and Bethany’s other books, YouTube, and blog.

-Paddleboarding-

Yes, that is right. After a big day already we went paddling boarding!

DSCN8259-stamped

We had never been paddle boarding before, so I let my dad and bro try it out first. 😛

Well, here I go. I’m not looking too confident. 😛

My dad pushed me off. 🙂

onwater-stamped&edited

Off I go! 🙂

That is sadly all the good pics my parents took. I was basically paddling boarding the whole time, so I didn’t take any pictures. But, it was really fun…kinda scary sometimes, but once you get it figured out it can be really relaxing and fun! I hope we can do it next summer too! 😀

I was pretty sore after doing lots of walking, heavy camera bag caring, and paddling boarding, but it was a great day! 😀 ❤

Hey Y’all! Two weeks ago I went on a fun little “adventure” with one of my bffs and her parents…so here we go!!

DSCN8162-stamped

I had to get up at 4am…yes AM! It did not feel right to wake up and leave the house when it was still dark. But it was what I needed to do. 😛 My friend and her parents picked me up at 5am, and we got to the park around 6-6:30.

DSCN8166-stamped

Pikes Peak and a blue school bus.

DSCN8170-stamped

My friend’s dad bought us donuts…yummy 😀

DSCN8171-stamped

My friend and I walked around the park to take pics. Here was one of the hot air balloon baskets!

DSCN8173-stamped

Oh yeah, I don’t think I have told you all what we are doing, oops. We went to a park that does a hot air balloon event each Labor Day weekend. We went the sunrise one, there is also a night one, where they light up the balloons, it is pretty neat. This was my first year going to the sunrise one. 🙂

DSCN8175-stamped

Usually, they blow up all the balloons, and fly them around and across the lake at the park. But this year it was too windy, so they just kept them on the ground. 😦 But, we still got to see some of them up close, so that was neat. 😀

DSCN8178-stamped

Pikes Peak, the crowd, and a neat tree.

DSCN8181-stamped

Up close of a pretty balloon.

DSCN8188-satmped

We were right up close to this one, it was super neat!!

It takes a lot of work, and the wind was making it kinda dangerous.

DSCN8193-stamped

Yay! They got it up for a little bit!

DSCN8194-stamped

My friend and I. ❤

DSCN8197-stamped

My friend and I kinda walked under the balloon as it was up, then it started to deflate, so we had to quickly move so it wouldn’t smash us…that was fun. 😀

DSCN8198-stamped

A few of move balloons up.

DSCN8200-stamped

A little while later we ran into some of my friend’s friends/family, so that was neat. There was a donut eating contest, and here they are talking about it they should do it or not, haha!

DSCN8206-stamped

They decided to do it! But I am not…I will just take pictures.

DSCN8207-stamped&edited

Signing the paper, this is legit Y’all.

DSCN8213-stamped

The kids part was cute…though some kids did cry. But it was still entertaining.

DSCN8223-stamped

The girls coming up with a plan before they are up.

DSCN8224-stamped

Let’s go, you guys can do it! 😀 The guy on the left was so scared, his friends (right) made him do it, haha!

DSCN8228-stamped

It was pretty intense to watch, some people ate so many donuts!!

DSCN8229-stamped

Let’s go girls! They are already starting to regret it.

DSCN8232-stamped

Yep, it was harder than they thought, their moms were right (of course).

DSCN8236-stamped

Yes, that is Pikes Peak, again. 😀

DSCN8238-stamped

After they all did the donut eating contest, there was a skydiving show!!

DSCN8239-stamped

Introducing the United States Air Force Academy!!

DSCN8240-stamped

There they are, they were soo tiny up there. Thanks to my great camera zoom, I could see them better! 😀

DSCN8242-stamped

DSCN8243-stamped

The first one landed, yay!

DSCN8246-stamped

DSCN8247-stamped

Flying by the sun. This guy had a flag, I don’t remember what it was though.

DSCN8254-stamped

This guy was pretty talented, not only did he not crash, but he also had a huge US flag he had to control too! It was so neat.

DSCN8256-stamped

All the guys landed and did a great job! 🙂

After that we had to rush to get me to church, I was only about 15 minutes late, and then they had to get to their church too! It was a super fun morning, very long…but fun! By the time I got to church at 10:30, it felt like it should have been at least 1pm, but oh well. 😛

After church I did something else…so stay tuned for that post!

Today I am sharing a song from one of my new favorite bands! Willow City! It is 4 siblings that live in a small town in Texas. They are super sweet, talented, and funny! Please listen to this song, and check out their YouTube channel!

Lyrics*

A little girl on the corner begging for a piece of bread

A man across the way where she stands don’t know where he’s gonna lay his head

Have you ever wondered what brings them here to town

These faces on the street I never meet But I keep wondering anyhow theses faces runnin around my mind there here all night their eyes when they look my way reminds me to pray for the souls that have faces

We drive and we walk like we talk with strangers every day someone’s dad is, someone’s friend is, someones best they’ve ever had theses faces runnin around my mind there here all night their eyes when they look my way reminds me to pray for the souls that have faces

Next time I pass by a man on the street I am gonna look him in the eye beneath the mask in broad daylight is a story that wants to see the light have you ever wondered what brings them here to town

These faces on the street I never meet But I keep wondering anyhow theses faces runnin around my mind there here all night their eyes when they look my way reminds me to pray for the souls that have faces

faces (faces) faces (faces) faces (faces) faces (faces) faces (faces) faces
